Danish DaysAvenue of Flags

Avenue of Flags

The Avenue of Flags started as a dream of a few Viborg World War II veterans.

The Danish Days Committee accepted the challenge in January of 1999 to develop the Avenue of Flags. Today there are over 100 flags that make up the Viborg Avenue of Flags. The flags are in memory or honor of veterans or individuals from the Viborg community. The flags are flown on designated holidays in the Veterans Memorial Park and along the fence line at Rose Hill Cemetery.
